The Dans Company provides quality dance, tumbling, and cheer instruction for students ages 3 and up in the Pella, Iowa area. Feel free to contact us with any questions!
Dance Recital and Tumbling Showcase Information
Recital + Showcase Location: Pella Christian High School (300 Eagle Ln Pella, IA)
Dance Recital: Friday, April 26 at 6:00pm and Saturday, April 27 at 1:30pm
Tumbling/Cheer Showcase: Saturday, April 27 at 10:00am
Solo Showcase: Saturday, April 27 at 11:30am
Tickets: General admission is covered by the recital fee that has already been paid. So there is no additional cost for tickets!
Rehearsals:
**Important - Dress Rehearsal is required. Students need to be present to perform in the recital.**
If there is an emergency or illness that comes up which prevents your student from attending dress rehearsal, please let Amanda know.
Dance Dress Rehearsal Schedule:
Dress Rehearsal is at the location of Recital - Pella Christian High School Auditorium.
You may take photos to post for social media but please do not post videos. NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY IS ALLOWED. Please be courteous to our TDC family, not to get in front of each other with cameras. Also, there will be starting and stopping of routines, so it will not be a regular performance. Please do not bring your guests to the dress rehearsal. They can come for no charge to the Friday or Saturday shows.
Dancers will need to be ready 15 minutes before their scheduled time to be on the stage. Please come and sit in the auditorium and find your designated class area. Ready means in costume and shoes!
Hair and makeup are suggested for the dress rehearsal so that they get used to how they will feel on stage. Bring all costumes and check for your shoe supply! There will not be extras on site at rehearsal.

Dancers arrive: 5:00pm, Doors Open at 5:30pm, Dance Recital at 6:00pm
Saturday - April 27
Tumbling and Cheer Showcase at 10:00am ( students report at 9:30 )
Solo/Ensemble showcase at 11:30am
Dance Recital at 1:30pm ( students report at 1:00pm)
*Preschool dancers will not come as early. There will be an email sent to those classes with this info!
Recital Dance season is over after recital.
Competition Dance will continue through May with the schedule.

Spacing:
Both dance recitals will consist of the same performances, so we ask that you communicate with those coming
to watch your student and have them split between show times if possible.
Etiquette:
Please arrive an hour before the recital is scheduled to start (or at the time specified above), with your student's
hair and makeup done as well as all costumes, accessories, and shoes needed for all of their routines.
Students may not eat or drink (beside water) while wearing their costumes, unless they are wearing something
to cover up and catch the spills! Some like to bring robes to wear over costumes backstage.
Tiny dancers will be able to sit with their families before/after they perform, and parents will receive instructions
on this. Watch your email inbox for backstage information and instructions.

Tumbling and Cheer Showcase Information:
Where: Pella Christian High School
When: Saturday, April 27: 10am start time, students can arrive between 9 and 9:35am. Doors open to general seating at 9:30am
Who: All TDC tumblers and cheer students
Cost: Ticket prices were included in your fees - your guests are covered by this cost. Check the portal for any balances.

Flowers & Shout-outs for Recital!

Recital season is upon us and it provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the amazing dancers in our lives. As part of our annual fundraising efforts, The Dans Company Booster Club is providing two opportunities for you to love on your dancers and celebrate all the hard work they have put in this year. Feel free to share this information with family and friends who may want to join in the fun! All shout-out requests must be received by Tuesday, April 23rd and flower orders must be received by Wednesday, April 24th.
Shout-Outs
Want to give your dancer a little extra boost on performance night? We'd be happy to read your words of love, encouragement, and support over the PA system during this year's recital. Each shout-out costs $5 and should be paid via Venmo at the time of submitting your request. Cash will not be collected at the recital this year. Shout-outs will only be read if payment has been received.
All shout-outs are due by Tuesday, April 23rd.
Flowers
For those new to the dance world, it is customary to celebrate dancers with flowers after their performance. We have partnered with The Timeless Tulip this year to save you a stop during the craziness of recital week and provide you a way to preorder a bouquet for your dancer! You may see the size and style options available at the order link below. Payment will be made at the time of ordering through The Timeless Tulip website. There will be availability for a small number of on-site wrapped flowers that you can pay for the night of the recital, but preordering is highly recommended to ensure you receive what you desire. Please follow the directions carefully on the Timeless Tulip website linked below and indicate pickup for the date of the recital you’d like your flowers for during the ordering process, and your flowers will be ready for pick up when you arrive.
